Summary/Abstract: This paper is an analysis of the economic policy of one of the major parties on the interwar scene, Romanian National Peasants' Party. The PNT had to represent the interests of the peasants, who were supported by the small property, cooperation and popular banks. Posing itself as defender of the interests of the peasantry, the Peasants Party brought to the fore the issue of land reform.
