Summary/Abstract: The paper is an attempt to present an increase in the importance of the Schumpeter’s theory of entrepreneurship and the subjective role of an entrepreneur in the process of explaining contemporary issues of competition of enterprises in a changeable and uncertain environment. It also emphasizes the necessity to take a new look at the entrepreneurship act, in which, apart from innovativeness, the role of creativity in management of the enterprise is currently perceived.
