Summary/Abstract: At all times the question of gender fostering was the object of intensive debates between practicians and theoreticians: what kind of education curriculum should be or when and how it should be implemented? The acute discussions regarding this context still continue between educators supporting different philosophical conceptions of education. The article presents the phenomena of sexual education and gender fostering in philosophical and pedagogical discourses. The differences of nature and objectives of these phenomena with regard to education of the young generation are revealed: the objective of sexual education is knowledge, whereas the objective of gender fostering is willpower. The peculiarities of interaction between sexual education and gender fostering in pedagogic process are analyzed, the risks of sexual education shading the moral education of the young generation are substantiated, the contradiction between “sex” (as the dual deceit) and love (as the truth of existence) is analyzed, the educational principle of fostering the tradition of body obedience to the soul and the significance of life meaning for education quality are stressed. The article concludes with the summarized findings pointing out the advantages of gender fostering as willpower education (moral culture) considering it as the important part of the personality education contra sexual education as the provision of specialized knowledge (mind/brain culture). The importance of proper proportion between gender fostering and sexual education in personality education process is pointed out: first of all, the willpower of children should be developed at certain level allowing them to manage easily own excited imagination overload with provided special knowledge of the sexual education.
