Particularities of the verbal cliché in Romanian politics and press after 1989

Summary/Abstract: As a universal rhetorical device whose existence in the language of politics and press reflects cognitive, attitudinal and behavioral stereotypes, the cliché was often forced on the protagonists of public communication during the totalitarian regime before 1989, and this aspect favored its presence in contemporary political and journalistic discourses.
