Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the analyses of the results from the empirical survey "Political Culture — 1991", carried out by Department Sociology of Politics at the Institute of Sociology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The Bulgarian data is compared with the data from Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal. First, to facilitate the data, second, to prevent tautologizing, the paper is organized mainly by tables and graphs. Finally, the paper follows the scientific politological tradition in crosscultural research when it analyses the elements of political culture. The attention is paid mostly to the political activity, electoral intentions, attitudes towards the institutions and political subjects, description of the political space and personal ideology, and other elements of the notion of political culture.
