The Academican Role in Increasing Level of Education – Social Sciences Literacy

Summary/Abstract: This article contributes to debate what it means to be an academician. The authors (in agreement with Weber) claim, that an academician is not only a man of science but he is also a teacher. The authors summarize means which could academicians use for their pedagogical work and evaluate its pros and cons. Last of all authors conclude, that closer collaboration between grammar schools and universities could be beneficial to both sides.
