Summary/Abstract: For Henri Maldiney, authentic art springs from a Gestaltung - or form-in-the-process-of-self-becoming - which has internal incidence. It thus articulates space and time within itself and constitutes its own simplified chronogenesis while unfolding a network of opposite tensions according to a rhythm. Then, commenting on various types of works, Maldiney is led to discern, between the self-genesis of art and the act of language, a relationship that may involve some of the processes belonging to the first and the second glossogenic areas.
