Summary/Abstract: We suggest studying the corruption defined in the literature as the abuse of a public service to remove private earnings. So, indeed having to explain the causes and the consequences of this problem on various socioeconomic levels, we treated the question of the influence of this corruption on the economic growth of developing countries. By showing that the corruption could damage the accumulation of the human capital by discouraging the young people to pursue their higher education, our interest, it is to handle thus the direct and indirect influence of the corruption via the accumulation of the human capital on the economic growth. So we present an empirical application in panel data which concerns a sample consisted of 25 developing countries for a period of observation which extends from 1984 till 2005. The results prove that the corruption acts negatively on the accumulation of the human capital what harms in the economic growth of the developing countries
