Summary/Abstract: The Romanian Orthodox Deanery of Solnoc the 2nd (1881-1906) - Parishes, Souls, Clergymen, Teachers. The Deanery of Solnoc the 2nd became in 1883 the Deanery of Solnoc. This last one Deanery was included in 1907 in the neighbor Deanery of Chioar (Cetatea de Piatră), with all its parishes. The following study presents the situation of each parish of the Solnoc II Deanery (Solnoc since 1883), between 1881 and 1906. The presentation refers to the priests, teachers (in the parishes which had a primary school under the lead of the church, we have the names of the teachers since 1882) and the number of orthodox believers. Talking about the number of souls, we must say we have the numbers for the whole Deanery in each year from 1881 to 1906, and for each parish just from 1900 to 1906. The study makes a picture of the Romanian orthodox life in the 17 parishes of the Solnoc II Deanery. All this parishes belong nowadays to the Deanery of Lăpuş, in the southern part of Maramureş County.
