Summary/Abstract: Cities used to be built on bloody foundations marked by human death. The sacrificed human life gave it unusual power. Suffering, violence and crime, on the one hand, and a cultural and spiritual dimension, on the other, constituted the long-gone history of the creation of our settlements. A similar, contradictory and dual history also relates to the creation of our buildings. Therefore, it is not surprising that being homeless by choice and a cosmopolitan nomad is an approach that brings freedom from this historic burden. The modern world is driven by overwhelming dynamics. “The times of serfdom when people were bound to a place are irreversibly over”. This is well illustrated by the modern nomads who come to a city and influence its social, cultural and intellectual life by displaying a freedom undisturbed by any form of sacrifice and unrelated to any point of reference.
