Summary/Abstract: The immediate object of modern critical reflection in the creative work of the composer Victor Raichev is his historic triptych with libretto by Emil Vidlichki which includes: the operetta Mladosta na Maestroto (1957), the operetta Shtastlivetza (1964) and the opera Hashove (1985). This is in itself a unique genre project in popular stage heritage from the second half of the 20th century. They were created and realized on the stage of the State Musical Theater in three emblematic for the totalitarian regime decades (the 1950, 1960 and 1980) and both three works turned out to be a kind of markers of the romantic nostalgia for the national Revival ideals. A stable projection with a reverse horizon – towards the cultural-historical memory which today is comprehended as an act of opposition against the ideological discourse and the futuristic strive of the socialist present. This was a project against the pathetic calls for renouncement of the national – in the name of the international idea, for obliteration of the past through the manipulative obsessive exposure of the great modern theme and the heroic deeds on the working front.
