Behavioral tendencies of the funded pension scheme participants in Lithuania

Summary/Abstract: Summary The paper deals with the economic behaviour of participants of the funded pension scheme. The first part is devoted to the theoretical background of this behaviour. The enrolment and investments of the participants and internet calculator analysis is provided in the next part. The analysis has shown that participants of the funded scheme are not informed about the nature of such type of pensions, display insufficient financial skills and the inertia of investments. The internet calculator as a provider of information for participants ignores wage variations during lifetime, the indexation of social insurance pension.
