Summary/Abstract: Plamen Mitev focuses on the life of Trifon Panov, who he calls "a slightly forgotten participant in the Bulgarian struggles for liberation". He emphasizes on the fragmentary character of his historical method of approach, which is pointed out to be the foremost explanation for the scientists' disinterest in him. All available information is gathered in the article and an attempt for a biography is made. The important moments of his life are noted: his education in the region of Lom and Second Kiev High-school, his participation in the band of N. Vojvodov in 1867, his study in the Emperor's Novorosijski University in Odessa, where he graduates the Juridical Faculty in 1876. Exclusive attention is paid to his joining in the liberation activities in 1875-1876 and especially his partaking in the preparation for the assembly in Braila on 06 May 1876.
