The methods of encoding, used by the Secret Central Bulgarian Committee

Summary/Abstract: In the section for social life and political organizations are presented several valuable pieces of work. The first one, written by Ilko Iliev, examines "The methods of encoding, used by the Secret Central Bulgarian Committee". It is seen a untraditional approach to review the Secret Central Bulgarian Committee analyzing the applied methods of encoding the correspondence, mainly in the so called second period of its existence - the use of invisible ink and the replacement of the personal names with numbers and the digital code. The author's interpretations are illustrated with examples from the preserved documentation of SCBC.
