Summary/Abstract: In recent years, a growing public awareness of sustainable development has been noted. More and more people are interested in renewable energy sources. It is not only due to the growing demand for energy, but also to a progressive deterioration of the environment during their use. Thus conscious investing in environmental initiatives becomes another way of taking care of the environment. Therefore it is important to take any action towards building a pro-consumer electricity market. The study examines the role and importance of renewable energy sources, which are an alternative to traditional primary non-renewable energy sources. It also indicates the form of financing environmental investments with particular emphasis on the lease.
