Summary/Abstract: The research sets two aims. The first one is the assessment of the agricultural biomass potential in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The second one is to indicate the districts development directions based on various sources of agricultural biomass. The districts of West Pomeranian Voivodeship were taken into account in the article. Data acquired from The Public Agriculture Censuses of 2010 and the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Marshal’s Office were used for the presented calculations. The agricultural biomass potential assessment was based upon: surplus of hay and straw, manure, agro-food industry wastes, willow plantations as well as sugar beet leaves. To indicate the voivodeship’s districts development directions data clustering analysis was used. The research was conducted on four sources of agricultural biomass that dominate in the region: hay energy potential in TJ/yearly, surplus straw energy potential in TJ/yearly, energy potential of willow plantations allocated to energy production purposes in TJ/yearly and manure energy potential in TJ/yearly. The analysis shows that the West Pomeranian Voivodeship has the agricultural biomass potential shaping at the level of 16,5 thousand TJ yearly. Data clustering presents that the region should be further developed using willow plantations, straw surplus and manure potentials.
