Summary/Abstract: This article shows the influence of Luigi Pirandello’s literary output on the dramaturgy of Federico Garcia Lorca. In particular, it refers to one of the fundamental elements of pirandellian style: dialectics between life and form. The author has chosen two Lorca’s plays The Public and The House of Bernarda Alba. The first one belongs to innovative movement of Lorca’s drama, the second one is an example of inspiration from traditional drama. The Article proves that pirandellian style elements are present not only in the innovative theatre but also in the traditional one. The study refers to the biographical literature focusing on such events from Lorca’s life that examine the relationship between the two playwrights.
