A Precious Gift to the Museum "V. Levski" in Karlovo

Summary/Abstract: Sources / Descendants of Vasil Levski’s sister - Yana, have donated yet again priceless family relics to the Museum of the Apostle in Karlovo. Amongst the items is an original photo of Levski form 1870, memories, correspondence and notes taken by a relative of his regarding .the terrifying. in Karlovo, the memoires of the Apostle, some deceiving facts about his life, a historical description of Levski’s flag etc. Also bestowed was the family tree, which was published for the first time in 1947, first editions of books about the Apostle and other. This donation is a real contribution to the museum that will also help preserve the memory of this great Bulgarian from Karlovo. All items of the donation are already available for all who are interested in the life and personality of Vasil Levski and par t of them are on display in the permanent museum. This publication provides an opportunity to publicize part of the newly donated written evidence of the life and work of Levski and therefore either to complete details about some studied matters or to give another perspective.
