Summary/Abstract: The paper summarizes the fieldwork observations on the public appearances of historical reenactments clubs in Bulgaria. “Living history” is a trend in historical reconstruction, focused on the evocation of the everyday life in the selected historical period and geographical region. “Reviving” of the history is a complex and dynamic process based on reputable research in the fields of archeology, history and ethnography as well on the popular culture, folklore and the creative imagination of the participants. The study presents and discusses the activity of reenactment clubs from different Bulgarian cities: such as “Chigot” Association, Medieval Society “MODVS VIVENDI”, “Tradition” Clubs, Society for Ancient and Medieval Reconstructions “Sila” during the festival “Scena na vekovete” in Veliko Tarnovo.
