The popularization of obligatory books with the use of social media portal - the example of Kamienie na szaniec on Facebook

Summary/Abstract: There has always been a lot of controversy over the list of obligatory school books. It may cause many ambivalent and negative emotions, especially among students. Today some of the new applications can change this situation. The social media like Facebook can help because of books' fanpages, which are created on social media sites. The article presents how teachers can use books fanpages and social media on Polish lessons. The authors referred to the fanpage of „Kamienie na szaniec” written by Aleksander Kamiński and methods which were used by one of the Polish teachers during lessons about „Wesele” written by Stanisław Wyspiański.
