Fostering innovation processes through inter-sectoral cooperation

Summary/Abstract: To build a competitive economy, it is necessary to support the innovation process. Such activities have also their impact on socio-economic systems at local and regional level, influencing the development of cities, municipalities and regions. The environment is conducive to innovation when cooperation between sectors exists, including the particular importance of cooperation between science, business and administration. The article presents the outlines of a theoretical concept for the development of such cooperation and gives several Polish and foreign examples.
