Summary/Abstract: Constitutionalism as a legal and sociological concept consists in several aspects: (1) includes the creation, existence, application and interpretation of all the constitutional requirements, ground rules (written or unwritten, set in formal constitution or other sources) that are relevant to the institutional and ideological establishment of a state, (2) also includes the policy orientation of promoting the acceptance of constitutional law as the supreme criterion for the state and society and (3) as a term can be extended to entities existing multinational internationally.
