Summary/Abstract: The Constitution is a living instrument. Its interpretation has on the one hand to consider the major changes in the perspectives of the society but on the other hand to be aware that its normative character will not be given up. In particular in the field of values important tendencies have emerged. Interpretation in favour of a comprehensive protection of the individual, internationalization of constitutional concepts and its limits such as constitutional identity as well as the understanding of the Constitution as a functional unit are some of the tendencies which will be considered in the presentation
