Summary/Abstract: Among the factors that have influenced the development of international humanitarian law, Christianity certainly holds an important place, offering an ideal compromise between moral and political necessity. The relationship between religion and law was inevitable in history and contemporaneity. Nowhere has law been born with the laic physiognomy right from the start. The authority of law finds its basis in the divine origin bestowed upon the law.
