Summary/Abstract: Another title, or maybe a subtitle of this paper could have been “Searching in the leibnizian philosophical background”. The starting point, and also the leading idea of the analysis is the investigation of the role that the POSSIBILIA is playing in the frame of Leibniz’s philosophy. The paper is an attempt to locate the “place” of possibility (and the other connected concepts: necessity, contingency, actuality) in the Leibniz’s system. The present endeavour could be also seen as an introductory approach to Leibniz’s philosophy, with the generous “help” of the possibility idea.
