Methodological approach to the quality of working life-definition, measurement and indicators

Summary/Abstract: The term Quality of working life, from aspect of Human Resource Management, had become very attractive during the 1980’s, and nowadays it still has the status as a topic of great interest.This term consists from several various constructs, as they are: the conditions of the employment, the nature of the work itself, autonomy in work, the job satisfaction, opportunities for professional and career development, working hours, the balance between working and private life, health and safety at the workplace, organizational commitment etc.This paper gives some definitions, indicators, empirical results and reports from several research projects and methodology used for the following subject, as well some directions for measurement of the QWL.
