Summary/Abstract: Although Bosnians and Herzegovinians had no direct connections with Iran, the influence of Persian civilization had been visible in this region long before the Turkish conquest. 'This influence had been realised through 'Manichaeism, and it was preserved and continued in Neo-Manichaean doctrine of the members of "Bosnian Church". After Turkish occupation and the acceptance of Islam these influences were renewed through Sufi and dervish orders.
