Summary/Abstract: The article deals with some German derivative compound nouns with the German noun Bund- (m) as „ a first constituent, and their translation into Bulgarian. These compound nouns are referred to as geographical and political realize or terms. These compound nouns as used in Germany, Austria and Switzerland have the same wording but bear a different political meaning when translated into Bulgarian. An attempt is made to utilize their translation into Bulgarian. Some suggestions for a unified and precise use of the names of some German and Austrian provinces and Swiss cantons are proposed as well as the translation of some political terms into Bulgarian. Further on another suggestion for an algorhythm is made which has to be followed when translating these German political terms or realize in order to avoid ambiguity- or incorrectness.
