Summary/Abstract: In the present paper I consider metaphors as critical/historical ontologemas of spirituality. My main hypothesis is that within the boundaries of a culturally/historically codifi ed space some key signs and meanings play a role in accordance with producing schematizing vision toward our being of national and/ or cultural identity. Also I raise the following sub-hypoteses: 1) at the cultural/historical stage individual attitudes are embedded in the “invisible cultural texture of time” and they fi nd expression in certain metaphorics; 2) such cultural texture forms the vision toward spiritually grasped reality so that it takes part in the process of cultural assimilative construing.
