Summary/Abstract: This paper is intended to be a presentation of the most important methods used for psychological assessment of individuals involved in road safety. We shed light upon behavioral tests that emphasize on the clinical intepretation of psychometric results, and questionnaires which attempt to measure constructs related to risk perception and acceptance (subjective risk estimation, perceived hazards or benefits, etc.) and predict someone's probability to take risks. We also analyse tests used to measure risk preference by creating vague situations followed by questions in which subjects are made to choose between a risky and non-risky option. Finally, we address the risk measurement through visual simulation scenarios.
