Correlation of perceived safety and value orientation

Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on correlation of perceived safety and preference of types of values. For this purpose we used ESS data from Round 4, specifically slovak sample consisting of 1810 respondents. The results showed only low levels of correlations in variables of interest, but still significant. We found out that the polarity of the dimensions shown in the Schwartz values model affects the perception of safety.
