Long - term health care and social services

Summary/Abstract: This paper briefly presents the domain of the long-term Health Care and Social Services, the social policies and the national system in this area. In Romania the inadequate financial resources as fraction of GDP for health, the aging population and the precarious health status, all increase the need for curative care and social services. We present the Health Care and Social Services provided for senior population, for disabled persons, and the palliative care services.
