Summary/Abstract: The article raises the issue of personal predispositions that determine effective learning in coaching. In the first part the author introduces coaching as a means of development of managers. In the second part she brings closer wisdom and multidimensional approach to managers’ skills development basing on research achievements in developmental psychology. The article is summarized with considerations about dispositional determinants of learning in coaching, differentiated between developmental periods from early, through middle, to late maturity of managers.
