Summary/Abstract: The most important professional decisions made by managers through their careers are analysed in this article. Sixty managers took part in the research. The article concentrates on the analysis of conditioning of decisions which were made. The people tested (subjects) point mostly to mental conditioning connected with the person who makes a decision as a supportive conditioning. The people tested (subjects) perceived their own limiting states of the world as rather less important for the decision effectiveness. Social conditioning perceived as external personal and impersonal states of the world, is seldom taken into account by subjects. The research outcomes point to the necessity of managers’ improvement in decisional conditioning, in particular the ability to coordinate simultaneously external and internal decisions’ conditioning.
