Summary/Abstract: Social changes are an asset of the modern society. Identifying and predicting the effects of these changes require adequate preparation. Lifelong learning enables such preparation. According to J. Delors, the foundation of education is constituted by four pillars: learning to know, to act, learning to live together and learning to be. This educational concept is grasped more by intelligent organizations rather than by learning ones. Intelligent organizations have been considered more advanced forms of organizations; not only do they utilize knowledge, but also make an attempt within the use of their appropriate internal organization to provide the best conditions in order to take advantage of that knowledge. The difference between learning and intelligent organizations arises mainly from the fact that members of intelligent organizations strive for exploiting their intellectual potential as much as possible.
