Summary/Abstract: The article takes upon the problem of changes in Italian pedagogy by analyzing the views of two representatives of contemporary research on education in Italy - E. Besozzi and V. Cesareo. The results of reflections of the so-called educational sociology is outlining 10 paradigmatic areas of interest. They provide a framework for discourse to shape educational policy (normative aspect). The areas of interest meet Besozzi and Cesareo’s requirements for developing educational research as well.
