Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to give a more precise overview over the development of some lexical germanisms analyzed in Newerkla’s book Sprachkontakte Deutsch – Tschechisch – Slowakisch in the period of „Middle Czech“ (1500–1780). The examples given here illustrate the historical continuity of some loanwords (nýt, possibly piklhaub, also šuple) and, on the other hand, show an irregular morphological development, when compared to their equivalent loan words in Modern Czech (šejdrem, šunka, but also šuple). Furthermore, some Middle-Czech loanwords are pointed out which do not occur in Newerkla’s book (faul, hutrajtéř, huntýř).
