Together or Alone? On the Possibilities of Cooperation Between City and Rural Areas

Summary/Abstract: In post-socialist Romania, large state investments in rural areas have become a thing of the past, and the foreign capital capable of positively influencing the labour market does not target these isolated regions. Consequently, small and medium rural towns, as well as the villages from these areas have to solve their problems by themselves, and they indeed try it, but, as a rule, each in its own way, usually resulting in lack of cooperation between these towns and townships.
