Summary/Abstract: The public representation of demographic researches is an important but sensible subject, which can stir up passionate reactions. This is particularly so in a minority situation, when the demographic data reflect negative trends. This study investigates the nonprofessional interpretations generated by prodfessional studies and makes recommendations for widening the professional discussions.
