Summary/Abstract: Besides industrialization, urbanization presented another important challange for the communist government in Romania, as the economy of this country was primarily agrarian. Most towns and villages, however, had to suffer during this process, as is the case with Csíkszereda (Miercurea-Ciuc), a town situated in the central part of Romania, in Transylvania.
