Summary/Abstract: Academic entrepreneurship is becoming increasingly common in today's world of science and business. This term can refer to a wider or narrower range of actors and contribute to the development of innovative enterprises and the economy as a whole. The paper defines the concept of academic entrepreneurship and, on the basis of secondary data and own empirical research, points a number of barriers that restrict its further development.
