Higher education curriculum changes and labor market requirements – problems of adaptation

Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to identify fundamental issues involved in the process of adapting curricula to labor market requirements. Context approach to dynamic changes of Polish economy is presented in the light of priorities adopted in the framework of EU policy of development. EU framework is the major challenge in the adaptation of Polish educational system. Change management requires proper information databases and research material to help conduct labor market studies in the context of global and regional requirements as well as the needs of individual employers. Standards, methods and forms of higher education are presented that contribute to and correspond with development changes of modern economy.
