Summary/Abstract: The article, which is a summary of speculations of a regular seminar “Political knowledge”, touches upon the genesis of Belarusian political science and its formation beginning from 1991. The author’s attention is focused on the examination of disparities and oppositions of Western political science and Soviet scientific communism, on the analysis of the impact of scientific communism on contemporary Belarusian political science. With the issues of structural and academic context of Belarusian political science the author finalizes the article.
