Summary/Abstract: By means of the present paper we tackle the complex issues of a copy of the Catavasier from Buzău (1762), kept at the National Union Museum of Alba Iulia. Primarily, it has been labeled as part of the 1768 Buzău edition, which is not acceptable. Its affiliation to the 1762 edition is certified by the presence of the woodcut representing Virgin Mary and child at the end of “Catavasiile Precistei” and by the certain facts contained in „Paschalie”, which date it that year. The publication of several graphical details of the copy was considered necessary, in order to facilitate subsequent differentiation between the 1762 and 1768 editions. It is also pointed out that a fragmentary copy of the same 1762 edition exists in Torino, where it constitutes the subject of a bachelor’s degree in book restoration within the Belle Arte University. Also, the 1762 edition was compared to the one from 1743 and also to the 1768 edition, with references to the involved printers, Ioan, Iordache and Ghinea Stoicovici, thus revealing their distinct rarity which makes them pieces of exquisite bibliophile value.
