Summary/Abstract: This article presents report from the empirical research focused on socio-moral approval of aggression exhibited by adolescents from Podkarpackie voivodship. The study was conducted in 2011 with 339 students (189 female and 150 male) aged 14 to 19, from various education paths. Students were asked to determine their attitude towards aggression and/or violence of varying intensity, justified by various circumstances. Socio-moral approval or disapproval of aggression is the essence of escalation or limitation of violence and brutality in social and school life. Students who live in a society which approves aggression can be assumed to engage in such types of behavior with much greater frequency and intensity that those whose social environment condemns or displays of aggression. If we know what types of aggressive behaviors are acceptable in what kinds of social situations, we can predict how often which forms of aggression will appear in social interactions.
