Summary/Abstract: In this paper we statistically model the evolution of civil employment, by activity of the Romanian economy. For this, we start from the actual data provided by National Institute of Statistics for the period 1997-2007 and using Markov chain will make a forecast of the evolution of employees by area of activity for the next three years. Also, in the second section we describe in large the Markov chain method and we will apply to this specific case
