Summary/Abstract: The text presents the history of the Weimar Triangle since its establishment in 1991 and the analysis of changes in this form of joint French-German-Polish cooperation after Poland became a member of the European Union in 2004. Finally, the author discusses chances for further development of cooperation within the Weimar Triangle in view of challenges of the Ukrainian crisis type, which the European Union faces. The author pays attention to the fact that Poland’s interest in cooperation with France and Germany within the Weimar Triangle does not arouse a similar interest of both partners.
