Summary/Abstract: Gen. De Gaulle held a special place in life and work of Professor Kukułka. The author presents the way Professor perceived the political thought of the French president. He did this by grading signifi cance of individual elements which formed the Gaullist vision of politics. The fi rst ‒ a vision of power guarantees “cohesiveness of government, administration effi ciency, prestige and authority of the state”. Professor defi nes it as a system of personifi ed power, which means “concentration of power and its functions in one individual”. The second element of the Gaullist vision of politics, according to Józef Kukułka, was foreign policy. He presents its priority over domestic policy. The third element in the classifi cation of Professor Kukułka is the principle of infrastructure. The professor points to its military sources in the Gaullist vision of politics. In this perspective, this principle would play an ancillary role towards two other principles, and it would defi ne a modern, effective state institutions, strong power, dynamic economy and stable social relationships.
