Summary/Abstract: Romanian Revolution of December 1989, represented a fierce struggle between the civilian population and the communist political class existing, as well as the Department of State Security at the time, having Nicolae Ceaușescu at the helm of state. After the bloody revolution of 1989, Romania’s history is also marked by the transition from communist regime with, repression of individual freedom, monopartidist system, planned economy, to democracy with free market economy, freedom and freedom of speech. Certainly, it is the only revolution in Central and Eastern Europe, which has been the most violent system change, resulting in many deaths and wounded people.
