Summary/Abstract: The empiric research of education and competence peculiarity, took place in Vilnius, Zarasai and Shalchininkai cities between 5–7 years old children from complete and incomplete families.155 children from incomplete families and 247 children from complete families took part in the research. The aim of the research was to find out whether children from incomplete families competence abilities level differs from the children with complete family. Also was looking forward to find out how the family structure influences children’s education and competence abilities. Analyzes were used interview (conversation with child), collision situation, problem situation, observation, experiment, questionnaire for parents, questionnaire for pedagogues, processing methods for statistic information were used. The analyses of collected and systematized information showed that children from incomplete families social, communicational, health protection and artistic competence abilities level is lower comparable to the children with complete families. The cognition competence abilities level for children from incomplete families doesn’t differ from the children from complete families cognition competence abilities level. Family structure is a factor, which makes influence upon children education and competence abilities.
